In this project, it is aimed to introduce eco-mathematics to middle school students who are studying in village schools, to improve their environmental awareness and attitudes towards the environment positively, to increase their mathematics knowledge, and to improve their attitudes and motivation towards learning environment and mathematics.
The project also aims to provide social contribution as it develops an innovative perspective on mathematics education and focuses on the development of students and teachers.
In this project, environmental issues and mathematics teaching were handled together and a one-week Eco-mathematics camp was organised for middle school students.
In this camp, an interdisciplinary approach was followed by combining mathematics activities with environmental education, science, games, drama, art, sculpture, sports and music.
The Eco-mathematics camp was held between 24-29 June 2024 at the Central Campus of Aydın Adnan Menderes University TOTALLY FREE OF CHARGE.
